The center
The Faculty of Design of the University of Vigo is a public university centre belonging to the CREA Pontevedra Campus. Founded in 2023, it offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies focused on the field of graphic, digital and fashion design. The centre is committed to a line of training and research that is holistic, open, multidisciplinary and integrated into the professional world. At the faculty, we understand design as a tool for innovation, development and transformation of society, and we seek to train and guide the professionals of the future.
Location
The main headquarters are located in the center of the city of Pontevedra, on Benito Corbal Street, in addition to sharing workshops and facilities with the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Campus CREA Pontevedra
The Faculty of Design is part of the specialisation path of the CREA Pontevedra Campus , focused on the creative, artistic, innovation and sustainability sectors of society. It is an essential piece that complements the degrees of the campus, creating a powerful creative and innovation hub in Galicia, enhancing the uniqueness of the centre within the Galician University System.
The CREA Campus has great potential and has become an important training centre in Galicia with degrees related to Art, Design, Communication and creativity. On its university campus, next to the Faculty of Design, there are other faculties in the field of creation such as the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Communication and the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences. The training offer of the CREA Pontevedra Campus at all levels includes, among others, the fields of design, art, fashion, advertising, audiovisual communication, creative direction or teaching of the plastic arts and design, generating important creative synergies between its students.
The city
The Faculty of Design is located in the city of Pontevedra, in the heart of the Rías Baixas. Located 25 minutes from the city of Vigo and 40 minutes from Santiago de Compostela, it is connected to the AP-9 motorway, the main communications axis in Galicia that links the main cities of the Atlantic axis. A 10-minute walk from the faculty is the intermodal bus and train station with access to the AVE train, linking the cities of A Coruña, Santiago, Pontevedra, Vigo and Ourense, as well as access by AVE to Madrid and the rest of Spain.
In recent decades, the city has undergone a profound urban transformation, becoming one of the benchmarks in terms of quality of life and sustainability, with numerous national and international awards. Internationally recognised for its historical and cultural value, it has an accessible urban environment in which most journeys are made on foot or by bicycle.
