PhD Program in Creativity and Sustainable Social Innovation

The PhD Program in Creativity and Sustainable Social Innovation, part of the Crea Campus in Pontevedra, offers a specific research line in “Design and Social Innovation”, which is further divided into two sub-lines:

→ Production Systems: a research line focused on preparing agents capable of generating innovation in the design sector across various implementation domains, with the skills to lead and coordinate teams.

→ Design and Social Development: a research line aimed at addressing design in relation to social development, capable of delivering transformative responses in its application context. It considers the current designer’s skills within the field of social innovation, which require an understanding of technology, the establishment of networks, and prototyping. This sub-line includes, among others: eco-design, design and gender, North–South axes, the glocal, community-based work, and design and health.

PhD Program in Contemporary Art: Creation and Research

The [PhD Programme in Creation and Research in Contemporary Art] offers the research line L04 – History, Teaching and Practices of Contemporary Design, focused on research into historical studies and contemporary practices in graphic design, fashion design, audiovisual design, design education, and all disciplines involving design and its subdisciplines from a cross-disciplinary perspective.
