Master’s Thesis (Final Project)
The Master’s Thesis will be developed individually by each student and will systematically and comprehensively reflect the steps of the process that led to the creation of their Final Master’s Collection.
The Thesis must necessarily include the following sections:
a) Structuring and presentation of a collection
A collection of garments will be designed and produced, consisting of 8 to 10 coordinated outfits, all of which must share essential features (coherence and interrelation in the selection of fabrics, colors, prints, textures, etc.) so as to be considered part of the same family, with a clear conceptual and aesthetic direction that expresses the widest range of formal possibilities.
All submitted garments must meet a professional standard of finishing, and each look must be presented with its corresponding accessories and complements.
b) Descriptive report of the work
Along with the collection, students must submit a written and bound document presenting the research and creative process of the project, consisting of 30 to 40 pages.
The report may be structured as a free-form essay and design, but it must include the following conceptual units:
Content of the report
The different phases of the research, creative, and technical work of the Collection must be divided into at least five sections:
a) Introduction – General presentation of the work
b) Theoretical foundation and references
c) Visual material contextualizing the collection (editorial)
d) Technical solutions – covering all the looks of the collection
e) Bibliography and sources
